As I was growing up I always saw professional skiers on t.v. going down the steepest of slopes and if they would make even one mistake ..I and my brothers would be like HA! HAAA! look at that! and you call yourself a skier!..I could probably do better than that.
WELL this trip sure proved me wrong. It was quite the humbling experience as many in the past have used this term to describe utter humiliation and despair. :)
I fell SO many times and so badly..We didnt get any lessons though!..I was under the impression we would therefore I didnt read up on it on google before I left, otherwise believe you me I would have been more prepared for this snowy adventure.
Mom, before I left was like and this is on the phone, she goes "Dont go! You're going to DIE!!!, you know how they always showed in those movies! you'll fall inside the mountain (using some complex urdu word to describe the whole thing) and get buried!!" I was like ..Yeaaah..sure mom thanx and meanwhile our Turkish sisters had their mom come along who apparently forced them to come skiing! lool..
I realized afterwards that I need more exercise, and also that I have no upper body strength.
Bhaijan is always bugging me to get exercise. I might just take up on it after this! lool.
Another great thing about this trip was the fact that both my brothers having spent loads of time in Canada never went skiing even ONCE! SO that was the highlight of my trip, HEHE! I beat you SUCKERS! :P
Also I learnt..this life is too short to spend sitting in front of the computer. GET out there! get busy, do something...before you DIE! and remember Allah swt in whatever you do otherwise its not worth it.
Also, one last thing if you go, make sure you wear lots of layers so that if & when your pants split your trip isnt over! hahaa!!..
Next time, its going to be Parachuting! :D Wish me luck! ;)
